Turn Up the Heat!

Turn the heat on at both locations several hours before the move, so you won’t have to deal with the cold inside as well as outside.

Protect the Floors

If there is to be any precipitation on moving day—be it snow or rain—you’ll want to put down mats to protect the flooring. Be sure to choose slip-proof mats for safety.

Treat Your Staff

If you’ve enlisted the help of your staff on moving day, be sure to have a selection of hot beverages available at both locations. Of course, as with any move you’ll also want to supply pizza (or another lunch or dinner option) to the staff who lends a hand.

Have Lots of Tarps on Hand

Another vital tip if it may rain or snow is to have plenty of tarps on hand to cover furniture, electronics, and anything else you want to keep dry. If it’s feasible at either location, consider renting or purchasing an awning or canopy to cover the walkways.
